A Headline in one of this week’s Associated Press releases stated,
“Seoul Accuses Japanese Patrol Plane of Threatening Flight.” The article went on to describe how a
Japanese patrol plane flew only 250 feet above one of South Korea’s navy
ships. When I first read this article
the line quoted in the movie “The Hunt for Red October”, by actor Fred Thompson,
came to mind, "This business will get out of control and we'll be lucky to
live through it!" This is fear's response. Then the Holy Spirit reminded
me that God is ultimately in control and I belong to Him. I choose to rest in
His hands...I choose faith.
Hebrews 11:1 states that, “… faith is the substance of things hoped
for and the evidence of things unseen.”
The AMP Bible calls it the "title deed"...think of when
you purchase a house by a loan or mortgage; it is your house but really the
bank or mortgage company owns it - because they hold the title on it until you
make your final payment. In the case of
faith we do not have to make a final payment to obtain it. It is ours RIGHT NOW because Jesus made that
payment. In other words, we believers
hold the "title" to faith!
Wow...if only we could let the power of that sink in!
Do you feel fearful about the storms of today: the government shut-down, racism, suicide
bombers, hatred, climate change, increasing wild fires, hurricanes, tsunami’s,
etc.? Remember, as a believer in Jesus
as Savior, you hold the title deed to faith.
